One thing I would like to add and probably has been the case since .35a.

Doing a "Default Setting" found in the Settings main menu route will delete all files located within the .adobe.... folder. So you should maintain a backup copy of this folder on your PC's HDD. If you lose your ability to be recognized by ADE-PC you can just copy it back instead of doing a FW update. This way you do not lose an ADE "Device Authorization" life. I understand that ADOBE limits the number of times this can be done for one account.

John

Personally I would like to have a choice of Dictionary configurations via a FW or Patch upgrade from the site. It would be nice to have a larger more complete English Dictionary than one that suffers in content due to multiple language support.

Let the client chose which Dictionary format they would like. As the device supports several character sets they could introduce more languages as part of the choice.

As it stands now I only use the "Eng" dictionary. If I were Russian, German, Polish or Latin American (Spanish) I would probably appreciate the support of my mother tongue as a conversion choice. I think support for 5 is over kill that takes away from the device's effectiveness in using two languages.

The phrase "Jack of all Trades, Master of None" comes to mind.

So come on Ectaco - Take the lead and offer the flexebilty of choice and watch the sales climb.

Another interesting thing that will be great for the dictionaries (I mean English-Russian) is to add a transcription for the words. And the English-Russian dictionary need to be improved with new words from economy and science.

Hey,

To be honest I'm not positive, does anyone else know if the "dictionary" or word find functions work for PDF files?

And i like the idea about refining the regular dictionary. Maybe a thread with words not in the dictionary is in order?

Anyone else have this problem with 35K for JB-5.
Adobe digital Additions on PC no longer recognizes the JB and all ADE info on JB doesn't seem to be recognized.

Hi All,

We now have an official version 0.35M for release. It was based on 0.35K but many of the bugs suggested here should have been fixed. Let me know if you find anything interesting!

Thanks Jerry,

I have installed it and it is looking very good.
The blank lines and rogue entries in the the TOC for pdf have gone!
Great! The TOC is nice and tidy, however I am not sure if the sub-level entries work as I had with the previous reader - I have yet to check with some large pdf's that have this.

The Jetbook really is going very well after recent refining - thanks.

One thing with instructions:
Download and unpack the firmware package and then transfer the Data, firmware, and reflash_nor folders to the root directory of an SD card. Make sure your SD card does not contain any files other than those found in the firmware package.

35m has only one folder (firmware) which may prove confusing for some.

I'm happy with this update. I think it's fit to be out of beta now.

Hey,

We actually just released M. Is is significantly based on K so we didn't do beta testing on it. Enjoy! https://www.ectaco.com/ectaco-posts/list/19980.page
