Hi.

I am wondering if I bought a few MMC cards (because no multi has all the languages I need), can I use my computer's card reader/writer to put all their data combined on a 2GB SD card, and will that let me use all the language pairs simultaneously when I put it into the iTravel device...?

If each language fits on its own 128Mb card, then I could fit about 16 languages in the SD card, correct?

Thanks,

Daniel

Dear Daniel,

There is no possibility to write other pairs of languages to the current MMC (even it includes the OS with various pairs).
Please note that each pair of languages should be written to one MMC (except the multilingual MMCs which already have several languages, but it's not possible to add other pairs to them).

So if I need to use 2 languages simultaneously which don't appear on the same card, there is no way to do that unless I switch them over... which means cutting the power...?

Because I would need Italian, Korean, Arabic and Chinese quite often. And it would be good if I could go straight from one to the other via english without switching.

Yes, you have to switch them over.

Ok thanks for yor help.

I think it is a useful suggestion to ectaco to make custom cards... Since I have to buy all the cards seperately anyway, I would better spend the money on just one card with them all on... It's much more convenient. Otherwise... It's like a gameboy or sth... and you have to carry all these cards with you. And it's not that complicated for ectaco to do, I'm sure...

Anyway, I'll continue this thread to ask another quick question, that does the original unit I buy also have all it's contents on a card...? So I have to remove that before adding the other ones I bought...

Thankyou,

Daniel

Yes, all language pairs are on one MMC card.

So you'll have to MMC card (one multilingual and one Arabic)

Oh dear,

Now I recieved both things, and the multilingual works fine, but when I switched in the Arabic card, it says; error during firmware auto-update, please try to insert original MMC card, or contact Ectaco, Inc. tech. Support...

What should I do?

Daniel
