eReaders come in many forms and flavors, you should find the one that matches your needs.

Ectaco provides a few that are unique or nearly so.

The Jetbook Color (JBC) is the only ereader that has a color e-Ink display. It is a larger format
device so it can display PDFs as they were intended. The e-Ink display allows for both low power
consumption (Longer Battery Life) and a readable display in bright/outdoor environments. It is
not an LCD display like a tablet (Kindle Fire, i-Pad, ect..) and is not well suited to surfing the web
or multimedia playing (Movies, YouTube)

The jetBook Lite (JBL) and the jetBook Mini run on AA and AAA Batteries (respectively) and both
have 5" Monochrome Reflective TFT LCD displays without backlighting. This makes them pocketable
and able to last a long time (~30hours) on a set of rechargable batteries. The batteries are recharged
outside of the ereader so you can always have a charged set ready and there is no need to wait while
the device itself has to charge an internal battery.

There are many ways to read ebooks, you could have a computer attached to a projector display
wall sized books, if you want.

Luck;
Ken
