Jetbook problem with audio books

I bought the Jetbook for my mother that is mostly blind as it has its own audio book section. The problem is that I am having major issues with it.

The audio book plays perfectly then after a while it seems to jump back to the beginning. It is not a rewind it just moves itself back, there are no glitchy movements or anything it is just a smooth transitions.

I have tried resetting the jetbook with and without the SD card in it. I have tried contacting ECTACO but have been getting no response.

Any help would be appreciated in fixing this matter

Thanks for the message. Can you tell me the following:
1) Which model jetBook is it?
2) What firmware version is on the device.
3) What kind of audio book files is it? MP3? WAV?
4) Have you tried putting the book on both the device and the SD card?
5) Have you tried other files?

4) Have you tried putting the book on both the device and the SD card?
The books won't fit on the device, but have used multiple SD Cards

This happens with all audio books

Thanks for the response, so it seems you have the most up to date firmware on the JB-5 which eliminates my most useful recommendation.

Unfortunately we cant tell if it is an Sd card-Device interaction issue just yet.

How far into the book would you say it happens? (half way, 30 seconds. we are looking for some pattern here) Can you try to fit a smaller file on the device itself?

There is no pattern to this, sometimes it is in the first chapter, then it can happen again in later chapters. Sometimes it doesn't happen until half way through the book. Sometimes it just keeps going back to the same part in the book....

Ok, the last thing i can think of is it being an SD card interaction issue. Find the largest audiobook you can that still fists on the device and see if their are any issues.
