I am contemplating getting a jetBook Color or twenty for a project, and
am trying to pin down some hardware details first.

My understanding is this:

Display - 9.7" Color EPD 1600x1200 from PVI
SOC - Freescale i.MX508 at 800MHz
RAM - 256MB ?LP-DDR2?
Flash - 4GB NAND p/n?
Wifi - 802.11bg (one review said 802.11n?) chipset?
3G - present? chipset?
USB - 1 Host and 1 OTG USB 2.0 ports
Audio - codec? 3.5mm audio out, built-in mic and speakers
Pen - 5mm, no side buttons, etc

Essentially, does anyone know the chipsets/part numbers for the wifi
and/or 3G, audio, and flash? And if anyone knows the above to be wrong,
please correct me?

Also, is a UART or other serial port exposed on the mainboard?

Internal pictures of sufficient resolution would work well too, or an FCC
ID might be enough.

Tristan, did you have previous projects on the eeepc?
