I have received on April 24, 2007 my Ectaco Partner EB400T. It worked for as long as 5 minutes, and as I was reading the User’s Manual and exploring the dictionary, it stopped working. I tried to turn it on again and nothing happened, and so on a couple of times. On my third attempt to turn on the devise it showed the initial signs and then went off. I thought it might be from the batteries, so I have tried with two more sets only to discover that the EB400T just won’t work. Moreover, when I opened the devise I noticed it had scratches on the screen, which also did not have any protective vinyl sticker as it is supposed to be. This leads me to the logical conclusion that this devise was already used by someone else.
I want to know what to expect from you. Am I getting a replacement? Because this device is not working, and was obviously used by someone else before me, or I will be sending it back and my account is credited whit the same amount, which I payed???

Dear Eli,
Please try to perform hard reset with fresh batteries installed.
1. Reset the unit by pressing Reset key
2. While the message "Please wait..." or logo is displaying, press "D" and "E" to enter Self test.
Please make sure that you pulled off a protective film from the screen.
Should you need any personal assistance, please contact [email protected]

Dear Alexi,
I already tried to do this hard reset 3 times with 3 sets of fresh batteries before to write and send you my first letter, and nothing happened. I went true the forum before to write you and I read about the hard reset. Also as I already said the devise has obviously been used by someone else before it was sent to me - it has scratches on the screen, which also did not have any protective sticker on. I wrote you that, but may be you missed it. I cannot be convinsed to something different than the device was used from someone else.
So I want to know what the company you are working for will do about this?
