I am am newbie to JBL
What is the best way to read PDF files on JBL?
Should I convert them with Cailbre? If so to what?
Thanks for your help!

First, you should know that .pdf files are handled by different reading software, depending
on which firmware you have installed on your JBL. The current JBL 0.16e firmware is using
the Adobe Reader Mobile 9.1.1, which can reflow .pdf files (that support it). You will have
different page options depending on which mode you are in, (Reflow ON or Reflow OFF).

Secondly, a PDF document can come in many flavors and have features that no dedicated
ereader will support. Some are just a series of page images.

Thirdly, no 5" device is a good platform for displaying image based files that were made
to be read as a much larger full sized book/magazine page.

So, the first thing I would do is try the .pdf file on your JBL. Try it with and without the
reflow on. (If you see the option "Reflow ON", then the reflow is off). If it is mostly text
then the reflow is your best option (if it is supported by the pdf).

If you find that you want/need to try and reformat the .pdf for your JBL, Calibre does have
an output profile for the "jetBook 5-inch".

Luck;
Ken
