Can anyone give me some clues as to how to use the "fascinating" crossword puzzle in my "ECTACO Partner Corrida EF900 Deluxe - English <-> French" translator? The relationship of the clues to the answers completely eludes me.
For example:
nuit (night) --> rabbi
ketchup (same word French & English) --> climb
cent (hundred) --> track
ranch (same word French & English) --> cheap
.. and I could go on. I haven't found one pair yet that makes any kind of sense.
Is there something I'm missing here?
BTW: I absolutely love this little device. The more I use it, the more I like it.

Hey,
Thanks for the question and glad to hear your feedback. It almost sounds like the translations are incorrect on your device.
Here's a few tips on the crossword:
1)Tap and hold down a cell. If a solve screen pops up press "esc" and then hold down on the touch screen. This brings up the menu.
2) Depended on whats selected the silver microphone button will speak out the word in either English or french.
3) Check text translation and dictionary as a cross reference to make sure the translations are correct.
Hope this helps!

Hello, Jerry,
Thank you for the post. I have done exactly as you suggest, which is how I discovered the non sequiturs.
I may have to submit a trouble ticket.
Merci, mon ami!
~ Julie

Hey Julie,
No problem. If you do continue to notice inconsistencies like this report your findings to [email protected] they work hand in hand with the development team to check on things like this. Hope this helps!

Hi Jeny,
Yup, did all that. I submitted a ticket and received a rapid response. The two fixes the sent me didn't work. I hope they are still working on them. This would be my favorite feature if it worked. Seems to me it could be just a problem with the translation lookup inside the device-- evidently it's not a small problem.
