Model P900. The dictionary will no longer open. This P900 Partner is configured for English/Spanish.
When you tap the dictionary icon, the flashcard appears normally, then when it closes, you are back to the base screen. All other items open normally after the flachcard closes. No difference if the language is toggled between English and Spanish.
Reset does not cure this.

Hi,
Thanks for the question and sorry to hear about the difficulty. Please try a "Soft reset and sync" and also a "master reset" You can find instructions on how to do this here.

Please let me know if this works!

As initially noted, a soft reset does not fix the problem.
Tried the soft reset and sync. Also no success.
Tried master reset. No success.
Had previously sent an email from the ECTACO site prior to seeing that this forum existed.
Their response was to hold On/Off + Reset for 5 seconds. This opened another window. Their instruction was to choose Self-Test and then RAM, followed by a reset.
RAM checked out Okay. After reset, problem persists.
Dictionary is the only thing which will not load.

Hi,
Ok in this case sounds like the software may have become corrupt somehow. The technical support will be able to send you download of the same software, you can easily just erase whats on your SD language card and re-load the software.
Please contact a personal representative directly at [email protected] let him know what i advised and he will help you with everything.

The software was the problem. When the SD card was put into a reader to a PC, all subdirectories and files were okay except the Dictionary.
It took a few days to get it together to get the link to download the software, but once obtained and reloaded, all works properly.
Thank you
