I love my jetbook as much as the next guy, but it seems the recent firmware upgrade has an adverse effect on it. After switching around a couple ebooks, the LED light would start to go wild and blink repeatedly, about once every 2 seconds. The only way to calm it is to do a hard reset.

I didn't have this problem when my jetbook was running the v33g firmware.

Strangely though, no one has reported this issue on this forum.

I wonder if Ectaco could throw out a firmware that would tame the light.

Thanks.

Hey,

Thanks for the question, i have heard of a flicker problem before but it is usually a very small on on the left side of the screen. Usually only viable in direct sunlight.

If you feel this is just a software difficulty i would recommend trying to re-install the software. If that still does not work please contact [email protected] and he can provide you with a direct link for older firmware versions. I think these older firmware versions are also available online through a different forum.

If you still see a difficulty and the device is under warranty you would be able to send it for replacement.

Hope this helps!

The green LED indicates a file access. Maybe you have a corrupt disk. This happens when you are reading books from the internal memory, from the SD card or both?

Remove the SD card and try to read a book from the internal memory to identify what disk has been corrupted.

If the problem is the SD card see if you can pass a windows checkdisk on it.

If the problem is the internal memory maybe a checkdisk can be executed, but I think that you will have to reflash the unit.
