Not a good Product!

Hi, I wanted to give my review after having used this for a little over a year. I bought the English - Hebrew language suite 2006 and am using it in a high paced military language learning environment with native Israeli teachers who can verify if something is correct or not.

First - There are many, many mistakes in the dictionary which caused me to lose points on tests and drop my gpa.

Second - When reviewing the flashcards, it will often freeze up and cause you to have to do a hard start.

Third - There was no talking dictionary on the Hebrew side, only on the English side. I know English and do not need a speaker spell to tell me how to pronounce a word in this language. Not a big deal but when it says talking dictionary I assume it is talking about talking in the language I am learning.

Fourth - Hebrew is a gender oriented language. Everything has a gender from bread to wine. If you don't know the gender, then you will not know how to conjugate the verb. The description page promised gender yet there was none.

Fifth - No ability to edit the words. That would have been nice considering the many mistakes and no gender.

Last there were many things that I have forgotten over time but remember running into many headaches with this software. It was just as fast for other students in class with me to look words up in their Oxford English - Hebrew dictionary.

Overall good idea but not a very good product. I spent good money on this and was not to enthralled with what I received. It is to bad too because I am in a position to recommend this to at least over a hundred people who are in the military hebrew environment with me.

Hebrew dictionary speaks Hebrew. It is indicated on the web site with the red color Pronunciation: English, Hebrew. You should have contacted our tech support at [email protected] regarding this issue.

Also it provides Personalized User Dictionary that allows to create, add, and edit you own personal dictionaries.

Also the Suite includes the FlashCards application along with the FlashCards Builder that lets you create your own personal word database from text files and clipboard bits.
