Somtimes there are 5 or so forums, sometimes only two appear. Any ideas?

No solutions but the problem continues. I suspect that I may being denied access to some forums?

Actualy we have only one software forum where you have already entered the above posts...

Forum index sometimes has Base forum and Developer forum, sometimes more.

As I reply to this the window header says 'New Topic' so I don't know if it will post

The forum still shows only base and developer forums which is very frustrating as I know replies have been made to my posts.....
