First the P800 series came out, the translators were only able to speak English. Do the new cards allow them to speak the other languages saved on the cards, or do we have to get the "new" P800 translators for that purpose? (it's technically still the same name- p800).
PS. I have the Polish dictionary (polish synthesized speech isn't available) but I want to get the French card with speech synthesis. Is that viable?

Yes, new MMC cards come with such possibilities for sevaral langauges.
English<->French MMC card talks in English and French.

Any MMC cards for 800 series can be instaled into p800 devices.
