Hi,

I have a problem using FlashCards on Pocket PC.

LingvoSoft FlashCards 2007 English<->Vietnamese for Pocket PC
Version 3.6.37
Product ID: FC-PKPC-ENVI-NT-3637

When I try to enter the Vietnamese text in the Type It! game, the characters display correctly but their are insufficient **** in the field for me to complete the answer.

I am using the Vietnamese Keyboard version installed automatically with the software.

Entry of English text for Vietnamese prompts works fine.

The same .fcb files I am using work perfectly in Vietnamese in the Windows version:

LingvoSoft FlashCards 2007 English<->Vietnamese for Windows
Version 2.7.32
Product ID: FC-WIND-ENVI-NT-2732

Any Ideas?

Sorry, forgot to say device is Pocket PC Xda IIi running Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Version 4.21.1088 (Build 14235.2.0.0)

You should install only main FlashCards 2008 module from this distributive, and use it with old databases.

Thanks Max but I am seeing the same symptoms in the FlashCards 2008 version (though I do have to say I like the new features you have in there - like selecting the games.

I did some more diagnosis today.

I tried using a dictionary supplied by you, TypeIt worked OK for Vietnamese words.

I created a dictionary on the device, TypeIt worked OK for the Vietnamese word.

BUT, if I try to use any of my dictionaries created by FlashCard Builder 2007, then TypeIt runs out of asterisks before the word is finished.

When I compare the words in my dictionary against the same words I created onboard, I can see no difference - but there has to be one.

Again, these exact same .FCB files work fine with TypeIt when used on the Windows version of FlashCards 2007.

I think we resolve it in final 2008 products release.

Its not such a simple task at all!

Windows and PocketPC platforms differ rather much in that way,
so we need to parse vietamese text manually..

But I guess availability of preview version PKPC FlashCards 2008 with this feature next week.

BTW, the 2008 version is already released.

You may use Search Wizard in the left-bar menu at www.lingvosoft.com to select required item.

Please download trial version of the software, if it works OK I'll give it to you free of charge.
