Good day!

1) where can I download from the correct font to replace squares in my english-polish dictionary ?

- please, describe problem with more details!
Are the squares in polish words or in transcription field?
Also try to change font settings in options - all fonts are included with the dictionary.

- it depends on the system memory and OS/device specifications.
Some pocket pc devices cannot load keyboard library (dll) properly..
Try to soft reset your device and open polish keyboard as first application.

I have squares in the transcription field of an english word
Changing the font in options (font for transcription) I have the choice between tahoma and Courier new - any of these gives no effect/no difference

You need 'SILDoulosUnicodeIPA' font (installed with dictionary)
if its missed (possible system error with installation) try reinstalling dictionary once more.
latest version:
LD-PKPC-ENPL-G-3166
(v3.1.66)

Also you can copy this file to pocket pc manually:
ftp://81.3.156.146/sildunir.zip

(unzip and place .TTF file in \Windows or \Windows\Fonts folder)

I am afraid none of above works for me...
Both reinstallation and manulal font placement have brought no results

Sorry, its only the first step needed..

Go Tools\Options - Font tab and choose this font for a field
'Transcription'

Hi,

I have sildunir.ttf properly installed. I have also downloaded the latest font from ftp://81.3.156.146/sildunir.zip and installed it in \Windows\Fonts

The "transcription" font is set to 'SILDoulosUnicodeIPA', but I still see squares (although not for all letters).

For example, the transcription for word aardwolf looks ike ('[]:rd,w[]lf), where "[]" denotes a square.

What should I do ?

In addition, although the "keyboard auto-switch" option is turned off, it keeps switching to the default keyboard when first starting the dictionary after reset. (I have an English-Russian Gold dictionary).

Is there anything to do about this ?

Thanks, Igal.
