Question regarding the Japanese dictionary functions  XML

Hi,

I recently downloaded to trial versions of the kanji-kana and kanji-romaji Japanese dictionaries and am thinking that the kanji-kana version would be more useful for my purposes. However, how would that version handle the reverse translation (i.e. if I know the spelling of the Japanese word and would then be typing it in romaji to find the english meaning)? The trial version does not appear to let me type any Japanese words in the searh box only english ones and so I cannot try it out myself.
Thanks

seems that best solution for - to use several dictionary versions from 4 accessible..

Or you could try all evaluations to choose one that is best for you.
//You also could get a major discount for a second dictionary, I think

Well, that was not exactly an answer to my question. I have tried both the kanji-kana and kanji-romaji windows pc dictionaries and neither trial allows me to enter a japanese word in the text box to find the english meaning. Before I purchase a version, I would like to know if the full version of the kanji-kana, spcifically, allows me to type a japanese word in romaji and find the english meaning as the trial version only serches for english words that most closely matches what I typed in the text box. I need a dictionary that can translate in both directions.
There is a 'translation direction' button that I would assume would change whether the translation is from english to japanese or from japanese to english but clicking that button in the trial only allows the dictionary list to be alphabetized according to japanese or english words and still only allows me to search for english words to translate into japanese.

I would also like to add that switching the translation direction does allow me to search for the english meaning of a japanese word if I type the word in kanji or kana but that is not practical as that would require cutting and pasting in the characters as my keyboard is not able to directly type out japanese charaters.

Is this dictionary (or group of japanese-english dictionaries) limited to only searching for japanese words if they are entered as charaters and not as letters?

1) ".. know the spelling of the Japanese word and would then be typing it in romaji to find the english meaning.."
Please try English<->Japanese Romaji vtrsion
It also display Kana records.

2) Am I right, that you need to type Japanese only in Romaji?
This work only in Japanese Romaji dictionary,
all others (kanji-kana, kanji-romaji, kana) search in Kanji or Kana accordingly

3) Trial versions have all functionality of full version,
except translations above 10% are closed.

4) To enter Japanese Kana/Kanji you need to install standard input method in Windows (choose one in Control Panel, Regional Settings etc)
