During the course of a recent trip to China, I was very disappointed to learn that there are numerous translation errors in this dictionary, in particular English ---> Chinese. I also noted that the English word list contains an excessive number of words I have never heard of, or are simply not in common usage despite recent retirement from a University teaching career.

The Text-to-Speech option is one-way only and the phoneticisation at best could only be described as dreadful.

I have found no documentation to assist in the use of the mentioned pinyin or character lookup via radical index. Was this information only available on CD?

Attempts to find an update results in an error code, and emails remain so far unanswered, and have not even generated so much as an automated acknowledgment of receipt.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Please, look in "Language Information.chm" file installed on Desktop PC,
section "Language Information", Chinese Pronunciation, PinYin

Thank you for your response, however, I do not have the file "Language Information.chm" included with any of the three downloads of this programme obtained since November last year. I do have a file "LingvoSoft Dictionary Help.chm" included, but found it of very limited use as it appears to refer to the Spanish version except for Section 2.2 which for the most part discusses Chinese pronounciation.

At the very bottom of the page is just a little mention of the usage of radical and pinyin lookup methods. Display of dual keyboards in pinyin lookup (yours and Tungsten's), the need to use the "Int'l" option, confusing line entry point makes usage at best difficult, especially when in a hurry or in crowded areas as so often happens in China.

I continue to have no success looking up specific characters via radical lookup method, even though they appear if looked up via English meaning. Suggest confirmation by looking up shan1 (in English meaning mountain) which forms part of a common place and street name, three stokes in radical part, zero in rest of character. This problem applies also to pinyin lookup for this character.

The above problems applies to numerous other characters, though after numerous attempts, I no longer used these "features" due to frustration.

You have made no mention of future updates or reason why I should be getting errors when attempting to find out via your veb site with either of the two registration keys supplied.

Look forward to hearing from you.
