Simplified Chinese <-> English Dictionary v1.2.20,

I downloaded a free trial of the above to evaluate it, but none of the chinese characters appear on the screen of my MS Smartphone. Do I need to download a chinese character set?

.... and I should have mentioned that the link to https://www.ectaco.com/user/download/SIMSUN_2_90.TTC doesn't appear to provide an opportunity to download the simsun........... file which I appear to need.

Anyone else been through this and found out how to get this file?

Hi Matt,

You may found out in Readme file that "This application is designed for devices with Chinese ROM Images only.
For best results when using the search function of the dictionary, your system must provide a way to enter the words in the corresponding language."

I guess you need Chinese localization software. Please send an email at [email protected] to get comprehensive assistance.

I got a message from support, it seems that the file is no longer stored at the end of the link on the support page. Support provided a link to the file in another location and I have now downloaded the simsun file and put it on the phone. The dictionary is not working yet, I still get the square characters and the message you suspected. I'll reply to support for further help.

Hi,

You need Chinese localization software. I should advise you to try to find it via Internet.
