Hi,

I've installed version 2.5.81 of the Japanese talking dictionary. At the moment, I have 2 problems. The main problem is that all the Japanese characters appear as blocks. Do I need a special font for this to display correctly?

Also, I've followed the link for the VGA keyboard upgrade and its a .cab file... I've no idea what to do with this. Are there any instructions on how to use it?

Thanks,

Jon.

Good day!

You've found rather old version of this dictionary!
Latest released is Version 2.7.13 (March, 5)

http://www.lingvosoft.com/Pocket-PC-Dictionary-Software/Japanese-items/

Distributive comes with Japanese font and HiRes keyboard (all is self-installable, so you just need to run installer and confirm when asked).

Hi again. I've uninstalled the older version and installed the trial of the new version. It solves my problems, but my serial number no longer works. How do I go about getting a new serial number?

Thanks,

Jon.

It's not going well at the moment. I have the latest trial versions of all 3 dictionaries installed. The new japanese keyboard is great and all the kanji/kana in the dictionary display correctly now.

I had to purchase an upgrade key, but this key doesn't work either (I have sent a seperate email about this). The problem I am having at the moment, is when I type in a Japanese word, it appears in the bar at the top as squares (although the main dictionary characters display fine).

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Jon.

good day!

Squares in keyboard pop-up window are effect of improper installation order - I suggest you've 1-st installed keyboard (it goes without font),
and only then dictionary with font.

So you just need to choose proper font for keyboard in options.
Find it in Start/Settings/Personal - Input panel,
choose Japanese keyboard and go 'Options',
in 'Font' listbox select msgothic font and close options (by [OK]).

Hope this solve your problem.

Max,

I followed your instructions and you were indeed correct, there was no font selected for the Japanese keyboard. The Japanese characters display correctly now, many thanks.

I don't suppose you have any suggestions about my registration key, I have been emailed 3 keys now and all of them produced an error saying they were invalid.

Thanks again,

Jon.

Please excuse my english.

Version: 2.7.13 LingvoSoft Dictionary English <-> Japanese (Romanized) for Pocket PC Trial version.
I installed the exe file.(all modules). And I tried with cab files too.

Problem:
My device is an axim x50v ( Spanish version ).
The sofware runs correctly but the keyboard (Japanese Keyboard) seems to be unistalled.
The japanasese keyboard don´t appears as an imput method. Its missing.
I have been using japanese in my ppc for a long time, so fonts instalation isn´t the problem. I´m using claviature as kana imput method.

Could O.S (in spanish) be the problem?.

I´m very interested at this software, especially vga keyboard. But if the last ones dont displays......

Thanks for your support.
