Downloading Ebooks from NY Public Library

Have any NYPL patrons been able to download ebooks to the JBL?

If so, what ebook format worked, and how did you do it?

So far, I haven't been able to download either Mobipocket books or Adobe books from the NYPL.

Bummer!

Mobipocket books cannot be used directly, although the proper plugins with Calibre can be used to de-drm them.

The most recent version of the firmware is recognized by Adobe Digital Editions, which means that you can download Adobe epubs and pdf's to your computer and then transfer them over to the JB or JBL using ADE.

And there are methods to remove the DRM from those as well, although Calibre won't do that directly.
