Majority of the PDF documents open without problems. But there are certain PDFs like scanned pdfs or pdfs which come with a physical book do not open properly. Even if they open it takes forever to flip through pages. Even changing re-flow option ON/OFF the jetbook lite gets stuck.
when the document get stuck only option left is to reset it. I have tried changing fonts, reset reflow option every thing possible
Using Jetbook - V .16e firmware.

Hey,
Thanks for the question! Do you know the size of the books by any chance? Also which if possible which version of Adobe you used to create the pdf?
Please let me know and i will pass everything along to the support team!

Hi Jerry,
I was trying to open files between 45 to 80 MB each. Those files take almost a life time to open or scroll through and secondly I have to hard reset every time I try to open them ( Jetbook Lite gets stuck and reads it for ever).
These documents are adobe 9.3 compatible.
Thanks
Monk

Hey,
Thanks for the question! These sizes appear to be really big, the jetBook is normally quick but with larger file sizes it may lag. We use a low consumption CPU for increased battery life so it can be causing the lag like this.
I would recommend contacting the tech support directly to see if this is normal for this size book. You can email [email protected]
Hope this helps!

This is probably not a real answer to your problem, but I've found that
the JBL can handle large documents/manuals very well if they are
simple HTML documents. Calibre can convert PDF to HTML, if I recall
correctly, but a search might turn up a better approach/program.
You put the whole HTML folder on the JBL. When you open the folder
on the JBL you may see several .html files listed, but the one you want
usually has the name of the book (sometimes it can be just "book.html").
There may also be supporting subfolders listed.
I have some very large manuals with a large number of diagram graphic
files and plenty of fancy text graphic files, that load and read well.
Luck;
Ken
