Have any NYPL members been able to download Mobipocket ebooks from the library onto the JBL?

I downloaded an ebook to the MB Reader on my PC, and then sent the book to the JBL. I get an "unknown compression format" error message when I try to open the book on the JBL.

Anybody?

Only unencrypted mobi can be read on the JB or JBL.

It will read Adobe epub and pdf from the library however.

It is possible to find decryption for mobi, which can be integrated (as a plugin) into Calibre, but that would be a copyright violation, removing the DRM.

Thanks for this reply -- I'll try epub or pdf...

You may try to use Adobe Digital Editions Software to copy mobi books to Jetbook.
However, it's better to use pdf or epub books.
