I just got my Jetbook-Lite today. I up graded it to v16 following Jerrys' directions and everything worked great. The problem I'm having is the size of my books. I converted a couple of pdfs to rtf and they came out pretty large. One is 77mg and the other 145mg. The jetbook gives me the message they are to large to open. I am using a 16g SDHC card that is giving no problems. How large of a book can it open?

If the pages of the original pdf use a descent font size try the pdf directly on the JBL. I did a test pdf which was 1.7mg and it made a rtf that was 16.7mg so it looks like it does blow up the file size considerably. good luck

If the PDF was basically a scanned page stored as an image, then converting to a RTF file is useless (which is the only way I can think of to have an RTF that large).
Try using the original PDF files as suggested above or try to convert to straight TXT and see if you have anything left in the file. If it will not convert to TXXT then you probably do have imbedded images.
