Ectaco should really address this issue on the official site. It should at least provide a link for 0.34 or 0.35a.

You have unzipped the firmware file and just put the 3 folders on to your SD Card? You must have done it correctly when trying initially because in that case you got the "upgrade failed" notification.

I found a reference on the mobi jetbook forum that said 0.34c was bad. It provided the download to the 0.34b zip file which it says was good. So I got it and it looks like its working. I got prompted to press ok and I can see it transfering data from the card to the reader.

Once I got 0.34b on to my jb I was able to then upgrade to 0.35b. Thanks for your help guys. Is there anything better out there yet in terms of patches.
Correction: upgrade to 0.35d

I think you mean 35d that you have gone to.
The latest beta is 35k.
I would have a good look at 35d first and check what your needs are.
If you go above 35d you can't go back to it. The newer ones bring a different pdf reader (Adobe) which gives reflow of the text if book wasn't designed for the Jetbook - this is a useful enhancement. They are also able to read other DRM books from Barnes & Noble (and others?).
Also the inclusion of TOC for epubs is good.
My main concern is the degrading of TOC for pdf's - blank lines and not able to have submenu entries.
Anyway, have a good look at 35d and see what you think.

Hey Guys,
Glad to see it appears as if you have figured everything out!
I was told not all JB's have the problem going from 0.33d to 0.35 d however i am skeptical. It sems almost everyone i know that has tried this had the same problem.
I will talk to the technician and either get a notice put up on the jetBook website about this or have an official release on the jetBook.net website that can handle such an upgrade. Hopefully they can keep up with the issues as i report them!
Out of curiosity has anyone tried from 0.33 to 0.35k?

Just to clarify I went from 0.33g to 0.34b to 0.35d. I definitely want a better PDF reader. This is the document type I spend reading the most. So 0.35k has the new Adobe reader?

35a, 35e, 35g and 35k all have the new pdf reader. It is improved in that it will reflow the text which is good for pdf's that haven't been designed for the Jetbook. It is not perfect - sometimes words will be cut in half at the end of a line and you also get large blank sections in between pages, but it is useful for those that particularly you can't read with tiny print.
However, as I have said many times the TOC is not as good. No sub-entries and many rogue items and blank lines (this is how it is in 35k).
I believe the reader is also faster opening files or it may be because of other firmware tweaks that this is the case.
