According to the announcement, new JB and JBL will be shipping with Adobe DRM functionality.

I know that the 0.35 beta version of the firmware does it for the JB. When will we see it for JBL?

Hey,

Thanks for the question, the release should be ready on the 22nd, which seems to be in line with the 3 week quote i was given by the project manager two weeks ago

You can look out for it here on the forums on on www.jetbook.net

When the firmware that supports the Adobe DRM is added to the
Jetbook Lite, will eReader DRM still function? Will the JBL have both?

Hey Ken,

Thanks for the question. I was told we are checking into the legality of having both on the same device. If we cannot then we may be offering two separate versions for the JBL. The answer to this question will be more clear as we get closer to the release date for the new JBL firmware.

Hope this helps!

If I had to choose a format, I vote for keeping the eReader format - PDB. I guess if you offered two different versions of the JBL OS, that it wouldn't be that big a deal to just buy a second unit and load the other OS on it.
