Hi everybody. I'm so incredibly lost and maybe somebody can help me. I bought my dad a jetbook lite for fathers day and I am at a loss at to how to get the books I want on there for him. I've downloaded them, I copy them to the device like it says but then when I open them up on the device all I see is symbols and things like that. I've tried everything I can think of and I'm not making any progress. Thank you!!!!

A little more info would help - where did you download the books from? and what format were they?

Do you know how to convert the files to 'plain text files' before loading them into the device? That will usually make them readable. It depends on the format of the original files. An example: say they are PDF files,you can just open it with the default application,Adobe Reader or whatever you have installed,in the file menu click 'save as' and select 'plain text' in the drop down menu thing. It takes about 10 seconds to save it as a plain text file,then copy that into the jetbook. There are also lots of converter software things you can use,but I j

Thanks for the question! It seems like you may be trying to download a format that is not supported by the jetBook Lite. Most jetBook Lite formats should be non-secure (without DRM).
The format known as .PDB can be secure. We usually recommend www.fictionwise.com as a great resource for downloading books.
