I would like to ask to the moderator if he know about some past experiences with other customers in deliveries to Italy concering the payment of fees due to the mail service.
If there is someone between the customers of the foum from Italy who already bought some products from this site, could he too tell me if he paid other money for mail fees when he received the products?
This is my trouble because in the past I bought a product from America and, when I received it in Italy, I might pay other 160 euro of fees to collect the packet at the postal office, otherwise the postal office would have sent it back to America and I would haven't be able to collect it anymore.
Can someone tell me something about that? Thanks a lot, unblaker

Dear Michele,
Shipping to Italy is $35.
It will take 4-5 business days to deliver after we get the payment.
Local sales taxes and/or customs duties, if applicable, are extra. Customer is responsible for payment of such extra charges. They might be requested by your shipping company.
You may review our delivery options and charges online at
https://www.ectaco.com/company/terms_and_conditions#delivery
It is unfortunate, but ECTACO has no knowledge nor responsibility for local taxes and duties in the countries, other than the US.

I've just had the same problem after buying a EI 900 dictionary; at the post office in italy I payied 42 euro in addition for "customs taxes"! Of course nobody told me before about this "extra taxation" and I found it a little bit unfair...
Best regards
Mario
