English-Spanish Interpreter (ESI) Home Edition is a complete bidirectional, English-Spanish text translator in its own right. You can use it to open large or small .DOC files and translate them with just a single click. You can also copy-paste texts from other windows or type in your own sentences.

Translation Dictionary & Tools (TDT) Home Edition is more than just a dictionary. It has a unique verb conjugation module, a synonym dictionary and a display system which neatly separates different meanings, different parts of speech and different translations of an entry word.

ESI Features:

English-Spanish-English context-sensitive Text Translation
ESI Home Edition uses the same translation engine as ESI STD. All ESI versions use Artificial Intelligence in their internal processes, achieving context-sensitive translations instead of literal.

Huge Internal Dictionary
Even in this abridged version, the ESI Home Edition text translator has more than 350,000 entry references and over 1 million synonyms in its database to deal with almost any translation task.

Huge Collection of Idioms/Phrasal Verbs
Its large collection of phrasal verbs, locutions and idioms allows ESI Home Edition to render translations that comply not only with grammar and context, but with idiomatic and cultural nuances in both languages as well. Approximately 150,000 idiomatic entries included.

File Formats
ESI Home Edition will open .DOC and .RTF document files. However, it will not preserve the format in the translated texts, as the STD or the PRO versions do. It will save the text as a .TXT file when saved to disk.

Add-a-Word
Increase your database by manually adding any new word you need. Perfect for those needing Corporation-Specific glossaries and terms. These newly-added words will migrate automatically to future versions of the program.

Other Tools in the Toolkit

Comprehensiveness
The 4-Way mode described above accounts for the comprehensiveness of TDT. It will not give you a single translation of a word only, but a favorite translation plus several optional ones so that you get a better feeling of the meaning of the word. On top of that, it will give you the exact "equivalent" in the other language of the entry word to make its meaning even clearer.

Meaning Separation
In the same line, TDT will separate different meanings and parts of speech in separate dictionary pages. This feature favors clarity in the display and prevents confusion when dealing with words that have multiple meanings.

Verb Conjugation
A bidirectional Verb Conjugator is also included in TDT Home Edition. It simultaneously displays any Spanish verb conjugated in all its tenses and persons plus its English equivalent in a separate box, a unique feature which is not found in any other software in the market. The same applies reversely for conjugated English verbs.

Idiomatic Expressions & Phrasal Verbs
The abridged Home Edition version has not been deprived of one of the most valued features of TDT: Its huge collection of phrasal and colloquial expressions.
